Trekking gear and equipments in Nepal
All the fake gears are really not bad if you have some ideas to find out the quality in it.And you should not spend lots of money for buying gears and clothing for your trek in Nepal.Because there are more than 200 trekking store who has been selling trekking gears and equipments for trekking and hiking in Nepal. It doesn't matter the brand logo it just should be work properly.
For example if you carry fake Brand's good quality sleeping bags and down jackets for trekking and if you feel warm and comfortable that's enough for you because its much cheap compared to originals brands gear. Also trekkers can rent them for $1 or $2 per day. As a trekking guide I have faced lots of problems with gears and clothing that we rented for myself and for my guests.So here I wanted to help to the trekkers with worth outdoor goods. I have met trekkers they just compare the rental price in market and they take cheapest one which is not good idea because in market you can get both good fake and bad fake trekking gears and equipments.
I had found 2 different sleeping bags with same temperature rating but one was fiber filling sleeping bag and the another was down filling sleeping bag. There were big difference between down sleeping bags and fiber sleeping bags. But both of them has label of down filling 100 %. That is the reason i'm telling you that either you should have little knowledge about it or you should have recommendation from friends or relatives.If you have no ideas about the quality on products the seller can tell you lie to make their sales.
I hope you got it what I mean is.Do not get confuse and do not waste your valuable time checking many stores for hoping to get good one.Ask to your company with whom you have booked your trek they might have more ideas about where to go for quality products.
